Our jazz band offers you 4 different formats so you can hire exactly the right one for your function, whether for wedding music, a birthday party or corporate event.  

All our jazz musicians are professionals, and many are session musicians who have performed nationally and internationally with bands like Scissor Sisters, Portishead, Seth Lakeman, Morcheeba, Super Furry Animals, Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Kasabian and Siouxsie Sioux.

Jazz Duo (female vocals/piano)

Our Jazz Duo is ideal for background music at your wedding, whether during the drinks reception or the wedding breakfast. It's also perfect for adding atmosphere to a business networking event or Black Tie dinner.  The band plays swing jazz (eg The Way You Look Tonight), latin jazz (eg Girl From Ipanema) and jazz blues (Gee Baby Ain't I Good To You) at a conversational level so your guests can keep chatting.  A great ice-breaker!

Jazz Trio
(female vocals/piano/drums or sax)

Our Jazz Trio is the duo plus either sax or drums. With sax, the trio is ideal for background jazz. Swap the sax for drums and you've got a classy swing band with a livelier feel which can also double up as a dance band!  Ideal for smaller spaces. Plays swing jazz (eg My Baby Just Cares For Me), latin jazz (eg Mas Que Nada) and mellow soul (I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Warwick Avenue).  The drum trio also plays funk & soul for dancing and is ideal for smaller wedding venues, garden parties and corporate events.

Jazz Quartet - Soul Band (trio + sax or guitar)

Our quartet offers you  the addition of either saxophone, (which many people think of as giving that quintessential "jazz" sound), or funky guitar (great for dancing!), to the Jazz Trio.  The result is a supremely versatile band which can move effortlessly from jazz standards to soul and funk classics and please all your guests!  The repertoire is the same as for the drum trio - swing jazz & latin jazz plus dancey funk (I Feel Good), Motown (Dancing In The Street), 70's and 80's disco (Blame It On The Boogie) and more recent funk and soul hits like Mercy (Duffy) and Valerie (Amy Winehouse). 

Jazz Quintet - 5 piece Soul Band
(trio + sax + guitar)

Our five piece soul band with sax and guitar is a full-on, very funky dance band ideal for wedding receptions and works do's.  We also play swing jazz for dancing in this band, but with this larger line-up we are generally asked to play mostly soul, funk, Motown and disco.  Which suits us fine!  Same repertoire as the quartet.  A band ideal for dancing at weddings, anniversaries, corporate parties and just about every other kind of celebration!
